What to Eat When Nothing Sounds Good on a GLP-1 Medicine
Some days every food sounds wrong. That is common on GLP-1 medicines, and it isn't a failure. The goal on those days isn't a meal. It's a little protein and enough fluids.
Below are six gentle things that help, five protein bridges you can make in two minutes, and a short pantry list so you are ready before the next hard day.
Gentle things that help
- Go cold. Cold and room-temperature foods smell less than hot food.
- Three bites, protein first. If three bites is all you manage, that still counts.
- Sip, don't gulp. Small sips of fluid all day are easier than big glasses.
- Try ginger or peppermint tea. Expert guidance lists them as gentle options for nausea.
- Stay upright for a while after eating instead of lying down.
- Eat slowly and stop at the first sign of fullness.
5 two-minute protein bridges
Double-milk sip 16 g protein
Shake 1 cup skim milk with 1/3 cup nonfat dry milk. Sip over 30 minutes.
Plain Greek yogurt 17 g protein
One small container, straight from the fridge, a spoonful at a time.
Cheese & turkey nibble 19 g protein
1 string cheese + 2 slices deli turkey, rolled.
Cottage cheese cup 14 g protein
1/2 cup cottage cheese, cold, plain or with a pinch of salt.
Warm broth with chicken 13 g protein
1 cup low-sodium broth with 1 oz shredded chicken. Sip slowly.
These are not full meals. They are a bridge to get some protein and fluid in until you feel better.

Keep these in the pantry for days you can't shop or cook. None need the fridge until opened.
